Where do you deliver?
Worldwide. Every box is posted straight from Japan.
How long does delivery take?
Your box travels all the way from Japan by Japan Post tracked airmail. Japan Post estimates around 5 to 21 days depending on where you live, and boxes to the UK usually arrive within 1 to 2 weeks. We’ll email you your tracking number as soon as your box is posted and keep you in the loop until it arrives.
Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
If you’re in the UK, no. Our ¥8,000 price includes VAT and delivery, so there’s nothing extra to pay when your box arrives. Outside the UK, your country may charge import tax or duty on arrival, and this isn’t included in the price. If you’d like to check before you order, email us at ruby@motto-box.jp.
Will my box arrive in time for Christmas?
Order by Monday 30 November to give your box the best chance of arriving before Christmas. Orders after that are still very welcome, but we can’t promise they’ll arrive before 25 December.
What’s inside?
Every Launch Edition box has 6 items: a DIY 3D ramen house kit, a mystery character plushie (one of 11, picked at random), a Japanese towel and 3 more surprises to build or display.
What currency are your prices in?
Our prices are in Japanese yen (JPY), so ¥8,000 is around £37 depending on the exchange rate. If you pay in another currency, your bank or card provider will convert it for you.
Is there any food in the box?
No, not at the moment.
Is it suitable for children?
Motto Box is recommended for ages 14 and above. Some items contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3 years.
Do you offer monthly boxes?
In the future, yes! But for now, we are focusing on our launch box.
What if something arrives damaged?
Email us at ruby@motto-box.jp with a photo as soon as you can, ideally within 5 days, and we’ll put it right. See our delivery and returns page for details.
